Growing up author, Liz Hauck, connected food with family while her family didn't have much money they had love and one another. Cooking for teen boys in a group home food once again connects her with her recently deceased dad. The meals and connection is healing for her loss. She writes, I have stopped trying to reassemble my father from the object he left behind, I try instead to recognize him in the dimensions of thought, feeling, action, expression and relation. Excellent book for young adults searching for purpose and meaning in their grief.
